Google spokesperson Chris Pappas told The Verge, “Bard has not been trained on any data from ShareGPT or ChatGPT.” ShareGPT has been mentioned because it was alleged that Google had obtained ChatGPT data from a website named ShareGPT.

It was also alleged that former Google AI engineer Jacob Devlin had left the company to join OpenAI. The former Google employee had also given a warning to Google not to use ChatGPT’s data. The employee had said that it is against the service terms of OpenAI. A source told The Information that Google had stopped using ChatGPT’s data following a warning from the former employee.

Meanwhile, Google has recently rolled out Bard for public testing. Prior to this Bard was not available to the public. Now in an official blog post, Google announced that Bard will be available to some users in the US and UK. Now those who want to use the new AI chatbot have to sign up and wait to get access.
