Google spokesperson Chris Pappas told The Verge, “Bard has not been trained on any data from ShareGPT or ChatGPT.” ShareGPT has been mentioned because it was alleged that Google had obtained ChatGPT data from a website named ShareGPT.

It was also alleged that former Google AI engineer Jacob Devlin had left the company to join OpenAI. The former Google employee had also given a warning to Google not to use ChatGPT’s data. The employee had said that it is against the service terms of OpenAI. A source told The Information that Google had stopped using ChatGPT’s data following a warning from the former employee.
